ABOUT OUR TRAINERS

Meet The Off Leash K9 Team

aBie

Abie’s passion for training started when she got her two huskies Loki and Nallah. Originally, her eagerness to learn more and help dogs in need got her involved in rescue. She then began working with Adopt a Husky, MAD (Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue), and Minnesota Wolfdogs. She has a passion for working with northern breeds and timid/nervous dogs. Abie has a background in education and is always continuing to learn and grow as a trainer. Currently she is extending her education by working towards her certification in canine nutrition. In her spare time you can find her outside with her animals – whether it is hanging out with the goats and chickens, or bikejoring and hiking with her huskies. They have hiked 68 parks and 200+ miles together!

Abie About

Lindsay

Lindsay joined Off Leash K9 Training 10 years ago to merge her communications expertise with a lifelong passion for dogs. She earned her Public Relations degree from ODU and continued her education at FGCU and NDSU. Working behind the scenes, she is the engine that keeps everything moving—overseeing social media, coordinating schedules, managing continuing education, and ensuring every client is thoughtfully placed in the program that best fits their goals.

Known for her precision and problem-solving mindset, Lindsay plays a key role in delivering a seamless, elevated experience from first contact through completion. She is committed to providing clear communication, personalized guidance, and a level of care that reflects the standard of excellence our clients expect. At her core, Lindsay is driven by a simple mission: to keep dogs with the families who love them while helping each one reach their highest potential.

Outside of work, she is running around with her three children and five dogs. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, and baseball. (Go Twins!)

Unnamed Scaled About

GINA

Gina has spent over 18 years working with dogs and the people who love them—from brand-new puppy owners to experienced competitors. During that time, she has titled dogs in a wide range of sports, including Obedience, Agility, Rally, Tracking, Dock Diving, and IGP, earning more than 250 titles across multiple
breeds.

While ribbons and titles are rewarding, they’re not the true prize. The most meaningful part of the journey is the deep, lasting bond that develops between dog and handler. What matters most to her is helping people truly understand their dogs. She focuses on clear communication, fair expectations, and building strong, confident partnerships.

Before becoming a full-time trainer, she spent 30 years in IT and hospitality, where I developed a strong foundation in teaching, leadership, and client care. Today, she brings those skills together with her passion for dogs to create training that’s practical, supportive, and enjoyable for both ends of the leash.

Justine

Justine’s passion for dogs started before she can even remember, but her professional journey truly began after high school. What started as a dog-walking job quickly evolved into a profound understanding of canine behavior—and a realization that her true calling was bridging the communication gap between dogs and their humans.

After gaining invaluable, high-volume experience at a premier training and boarding facility in Blaine, Justine found her niche in behavior modification and rehabilitation for reactive dogs. She specializes in taking on the tough cases and turning chaotic dynamics into peaceful partnerships.

One of the most powerful tools in Justine’s training toolkit is her own personal pack. By integrating her balanced, well-trained dogs into the process, she provides client dogs with a safe, structured environment to learn and thrive.

When she’s off the clock, Justine and her pack stay active. They love exploring hiking trails, hitting the paths for some bikejoring, and recharging by the river.

Cassie

Cassie started her dog training career in 2010 as a foster and rehabilitative home for rescue dogs through Southeast German Shepherd Rescue. Through fostering, she gained a unique understanding of fearful and fear aggressive dogs. Off Leash K9 Training offered a way to reach these dogs when other training methods failed to build much needed confidence. After seeing the results first hand, Cassie became a trainer with the organization in 2013. She is also the owner of  Mid-Minnesota K9, a nonprofit SAR and first responder therapy dog organization.
